As a 'slitaz beginner' I dont have any problem with the out put rate of releases as the 'rolling release' is updated surprisingly quite frequently. (In a way its like a new release every month.)
And Im happy with the way Slitaz works on my old low spec PCs..and its perfect for dial-up users. (Updates are quite do-able - unlike a lot of heavier systems out there.)
I see Siltaz as a 'bare bones' type system created and maintained by a 'bare bones' type dedicated working group…who most likely appreciate all the help they can get…and yet at times Ive seen them update stuff in a shorter period than what Id expect from the 'big' linux distros out there.

I've changed my netbook computer sometimes ago and use now Debian rather than Slitaz (which I still consider interesting for old computers, I just don't use it right now) so I missed entirely this "Rolling Release" thing: what is it about?
I discussed with a Slitaz developer last year and he told me that they've been waiting to launch Slitaz 5.0 as Stable for a long time and that it should be done soon, but I didn"t get a word about a future rolling release...
