SET AMERICAN LATIN KEYBOARD!?!

Hello, cant find a way to set latin american keyboard layout, please help, any idea???

At login prompt or terminal:

Login as root

Type:

tazkeymap

Hit Enter key

Use verticle arrow keys to highlight the keymap to load.

Hit Enter key

This writes keymap symbol to /etc/keymap.conf so it will load on reboot.

Another method is to add kmap=<keymap symbol to load> to kernel command line of boot loader.
