Slitaz 5.0 password questions as a newbie

Hi, im new to Slitaz and i was wondering if there is a way to block the "change password" option for tux user ? Im instaling a few workstations in a hospital for kids and my supervisor said it needs to be linux. I installed all, changed my root pass, but if the "change password" option is available for tux user its bad since kids will change it.

Second question is that if i can block some of the menus, so they will not be available or visible for tux user ?. I mean when i go to menus i want to hide or secure with root password something like "preferences" "system tools" etc.

sounds like you want to have it running in a kiosk/lockdown mode. not sure what will be the recommended software for slitaz.

Anyway, you may also want to consider keeping that running as Live CD (perhaps create a customize version of that for your purpose). In that way, it will always go back to the same setup upon rebooting, nothing will be saved/changed permanently.

Can't you just cron a script that will periodically reset tux password?

And also manually add other users for adults that would need to access the computer if necessary, without meddling with the tux user?

I think the live CD is a good suggestion, but that does not solve certain things, like,

how do you restrict access to certain features if you wanted to?

Even a LiveCD can download and (temporarily) install programs.  Since we are dealing with kids, giving them carte-blanche may not fit in with all the requirements of parental controls.

Surely there must be a way to create a guest user, and create some restricted permissions?

Also, perhaps there is a parental controls utility to help set all that up?

Porteus does have a Kiosk version, but it requires more memory and resources than SLITAZ... although it may hold some clues as to what can be done here.
