Maybe your ISO was corrupted; download it again and do another Live (CD or USB ?)
What ISO do you use? What version of SliTaz?
What about your computer (proc, RAM...)?

I suppose as a lot of installers UUI let you choose between the last stable distro from the web or an ISO file on your HD.
Choose from HD. Previously, download
[*]or the last stable core ISO (SliTaz 4.0); I guess if you've installed from web that UUI has downloaded the multi rootfs ISO
[*]or the last rolling core ISO (SliTaz "5.0", recommended)

As you run windows, you can also try this way to create a LiveUSB:

or this one

Last week I installed Slitaz 5 on a computer with 960 Mo of RAM (I had never seen a RAM between 512 Ko and 1024 Ko but that was the number that Windows' control panel showed) and it ran really fast, so the limited capacities of your computer is not the problem here.
