I am trying to watch live video stream from Youtube (e.g. DW News Live) with Slitaz 5.0 latest cooking installation to HDD. Anyway, still no luck with all the 3 below options:
# VLC 2.2.3 - VLC could not decode the format "mpgv" (MPEG-1/2 Video)
# Firefox Official 54.0.1 (32-bit) - Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available. - https://www.youtube.com/html5 "H.264" & "MSE & H.264" not supported
# Midori 0.5.2 - https://www.youtube.com/html5 "Media Source Extensions", "MSE & H.264" & "MSE & WebM VP9" not supported

Anyone has any success using the above or any other options?

midori 0.5.9 from slackware work fine with
mpv 0.24 build from scratch (ffmpeg is into it)
May be not for all media

I downloaded and installed both midori-slackware-0.5.9.tazpkg & mpv-0.24.0-p.tazpkg. Still no luck, https://www.youtube.com/html5 shows that "Media Source Extensions", "MSE & H.264" & "MSE & WebM VP9" not supported. And, not able to view "DW News Live" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yt3HsaIEhM

Yes, midori not play this (may be webkit has no support for this media?).
But palemoon 27.4 play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yt3HsaIEhM
And firefoxESR 45.9 too (and with official slitaz ffmpeg 2.8.10).

I was getting the live streaming with palemoon 27, it played for few seconds then stopped. I thought it was my network issue. I tried again just now, still no good. will try other options later.

I am viewing youtube videos using MPS-Youtube which is a python3 cli application. I am using VLC as the player. I installed the necessary python3 packages from Slitaz Panel along with VLC. I used PIP to install youtub-dl and mps-youtube. It works very well.
