Hello,
Please can someone advise what I should do ?
The live slitaz 4.0 (stable) image is booting from USB (UNetbootin)
I've attached a picture of the screen I get.
Is it safe to append existing disk (sda1) without corrupting/overwriting existing (Lubuntu) install?
Can I append USB disk (sda5) for mounting /root ?
Thanks.

Hi,
What ISO did you use to create the Live?
Did you let UNetBootin load it or did you use the ISO from your HD?

Thank you for the very quick reply.
http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/slitaz/iso/4.0/slitaz-4.0.iso (34.7 MiB - 36,419,584 bytes)
I downloaded the ISO (conveniently small) and pointed UNetbootin at that.

This is the 4-in-1 ISO (multi rootfs). It cannot work with UNetBootin.
Use the core ISO: http://mirror1.slitaz.org/iso/4.0/flavors/slitaz-4.0-core.iso

But you'd better to use the rolling ISO: http://mirror1.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/slitaz-rolling-core.iso

Thanks, I'll use that.
Would UNetbootin have used the correct version if I'd let it download Slitaz ?
It offers the choice of "Stable_Live" and "Cooking_Live".

No. Stable and cooking are both multi-rootfs versions and are not compatible with third party tools.

No joy...
Different problem though...
What next ?

This was using UNetbootin with http://mirror1.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/slitaz-rolling-core.iso
Thanks in advance.

[c]Syslinux 6.03[/c]?
Seems to me Syslinux 4.05 should be installed. Did your USB media fresh formated FAT32
I don't remember UNetbootin installed Syslinux 6.03 last time I used it.

That sorted it !
I'd let UNetbootin overwrite everything but clearly it didn't work...
Re-format and then UNetbootin with the slitaz-rolling-core.iso booted first time...
Thanks again for your help, signing off to install slitaz on this laptop now... (alongside existing Lubuntu hopefully!)
Cheers...
