Problems with Usb+slitaz

Hi there folks what an amazing little distro slitaz is great work

keeps this old hippy happy

Well my problem is when i try connect to web via usb thats connected

to my phone cant get internet seems it cant pick up via usb but works

well at home via ethernet cable

i tried even install wicd and running it when away from home no luck

hope someone can shine a light on my problem had no problems like this on the other distros but to heavy for it wanted something small

maybe some kind person can cook me up a iso that has a different network manager

that be great

bear with me am dyslecic and still on the happy bus amsure from the 70s

Hi HippyJ,

Try this:

Boot with your phone connected via usb and then

[*]TazPanel > Network > Ethernet

In Configuration, select usb0

Click [Start]

or

[*]from a terminal as root:

[c]ifconfig eth0 down[/c]

[c]ifconfig usb0 up[/c]

[c]leafpad /etc/network.conf[/c]
replace [c]INTERFACE="eth0" by INTERFACE="usb0"[/c]

save and quit

type [c]/etc/init.d/network.sh restart[/c]

Has worked for me.
