morning people
here to bother you again, with my grapgic card :
i had this quote from kultex, but i dont really understood how to deal with it on rolling:
the N2600 has no intel grafic card - it has a PowerVR SGX 545 grafic unit.
its closed source and does not work with intel driver...
it only works with modesetting - in rolling only with 800 x 600 and with next it will work with correct resolution......
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_GMA_3600
i have kernel >3.5, so i hope there is a hope for glx driver..
so in fact to do it well, i should select intel in the tazx tool,
then add nomodesettings or modesettings in grub? how should i do that?
TYVM for the reply

if you want to have a glx driver, you should change your notebook - "there is no accelerated driver for Xorg Server" - this means no glx driver.
Only minimal support. If new rolling with kernel 3.16 does not boot to correct resolution, this might be because only kernel was updated and xorg is still in older version.
Then you have to wait for next or use another distro

morning kultex
thank you for the reply
i'm using the slitaz rolling, with kernel > 3.5, so now i have the good resolution;
it was regarding the nomodesetting, to understand if its possible or not with opengl, if there is a driver or something, like modprobe, i dont know...
thank you VM

thats it - nothing more - you use modsetting by default
if you want more - change your notebook - the PowerVr grafic card is the most bad solution if you want to use linux on a notebook
