Dropbox doesn't start

Hello,

My OS is SliTaz rolling 32 bits.

I just installed Dropbox:

2018-11-08 00:36:58 - Installed - dropbox (61.4.95)

2018-11-08 00:36:16 - Installed - python (2.7.15)

2018-11-08 00:28:37 - Installed - get-dropbox (1.00)

2018-11-08 00:28:36 - Installed - wget (1.19.5)

The item 'Dropbox Storage' appears in the menu but nothing happends when I click on it.

When I lauch 'dropboxd' in a terminal, there is a (very long) message in attachment.

How should I resolve this?

Thank you

Re: Dropbox doesn't start

My file system is Ext3 and it seems that Dropbox supports only Ext4 since a few weeks ago.

I don't know if I can not launch Dropbox because of my Ext3 system. I thought that it should be possible to launch Dropbox (installed on my Ext3 system), then to configure it and to synchronise another Ext4 partition.

But maybe it's just not possible to install/launch Dropbox on a Ext3 file system...

Re: Dropbox doesn't start

Hi R8,

You are correct is not possible to install dropbox on a Ext3 file system any more, dropbox drop support for all linux file systems except for Ext4. today I face the same issue playing around with openSuse Tumbleweed the default file system is BTRFS and I wasn't able to run dropbox due to the file system so I had to shrink my BTRFS partition and I created a Ext4 partition just for dropbox.
