Since I don't use Slitaz but for basic/daily stuff, I hadn't updated since one year ago.
Now with New Year come I decided to try downloading and checking latest slitaz-rolling iso. I must say I had some expectations, and in turn was only disappointed.
Aside meltdown/spectre patches and perhaps other few minor under the hood stuff, there was virtually *no changes in one entire year*, except that now monitor behaves strangely when is put to "sleep" by Slitaz after idle time (monitor used to just display its known message "no signal detected" solidly, now it blinks from this message to pitch black back and forth; good thing this doesn't seem to harm system in general, for now!).
No newer kernel, no newer packages (*hm* hexchat *hm*), absolute no trace of a full Slitaz x64 at last, etc, etc.
This distribution sure still works well for some basic things; but, shouldn't it be already time to release a disclaimer saying "you can download it, there's some few support at forum, but no longer maintained"?
As implied here in the forums long ago, whoever was the founder/owner of the game, he/she either disappeared, quit for good, or is death. And just no new maintainer appears.

!!! absolutly not true !!!!
just see here:

Aleksej is working day by day and Slitaz is not so easy. When 6.0 is finished, I think it will have kernel 4.19

At least for ARM there is no visible activity since years.
Furthermore it is very frustrating when nobody seems to care about bug reports at bugs.slitaz.org.

thx so much for you Bellard and you Aleksej for working on Slitaz.
Good Work people ... lets have some patience ...
Request to developers and contributors that both 32 bit and 64 bit versions must keep coming and kernel must have support for as older hardware as possible.
Lets aim for Slitaz 6.0 to be latest and greatest till date.

Thanks for the answers.
Mm... wondering how long has Slitaz actually been at same 88%...
Anyway, think Slitaz 6 could possibly be closer to completion this time?
Or still ETA totally uncertain?

Slitaz has no ETA for slitaz-6.0
The users that contribute their time to maintain slitaz do so at their leisure for no compensation.
Sorry if slitaz doesn't meet your expectations.
