My own version of SliTaz

Hello all,

For learning purposes and fun, I am interested in creating my own distro using SliTaz as the base.

I noticed that SlaTiz provides Tazlito which should help.

Years ago I was a user and fan of Damn Small Linux. I thought it would be fun to build something like it using SlaTiz.

I wondered if anyone had any tips for me on working on a project like this and if the Tazlito documentation is basically all I need to get started?

I know I have a lot to learn so any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: My own version of SliTaz

I guess I shouldn’t say, my own version. I should say, my own spin on SlaTiz.

Will do, thanks, I didn’t know about that. Interesting how it can be a front for Translito. I’ll play around with it. I think I will need Translito to make it distributable.

Re: My own version of SliTaz

I'm trying to use SliTaz Pizza at http://pizza.slitaz.me/ but I don't see that anything was built. The flavor tarball is empty.

Do I need to have a rootFS tarball for this to run correctly or am I doing something else wrong?
