jpg files - impossible to open

Hello,

After a lot of updates: impossible to open .jpg files.

Error message (translation from the French):

"impossible to recognize the image format"

And e.g. impossible to see the background from the desk.

What's the problem?

Update:

I can open the files with GIMP or mtPaint, but not with the default program.

My system is updated, jpeg display with either gpicview the default program for image/jpeg or the desktop background managed by pcmanfm all working.

Hi,

I have this problem only on one computer (Asus Eee PC 900). On the 2nd computer (with VirtualBox), I have not this problem.

It seems that it begins to be difficult to continue to use SliTaz with my old Asus Eee PC 900.

After a lot of updates this still applies to the QtWeb web browser: jpg + gif pictures don't display (png is fine on the other hand).
