No Sound on Slitaz. Help needed please!

Hello All.

I'm brand new to slitaz but ive used Ubuntu before so im not a complete newbie.

But I cant get any sound at all on mt slitaz installation. i can get sound when using windows 10, but nothing on slitaz.

Can anyone kindly help me to rectify this please ?

My motherboard is MSI, 865GM2. MS-6743 Ver 1.1

an anyone help me to find what sound chip my PC Uses and to get it working on Slitaz please.

Id like to learn how to fix this issue, so even the basic commands I need, im looking forward to learning about.

run lspci on terminal to know more about your devices. you probably need to install additional firmware to make your sound card work.

Run this command as root to reset/unmute alsamixer, then retry alsaplayer for sound.

setmixer

If no sound then follow my directions to run alsasound diagnostic information script.

Post the link given for the uploaded information which I will analyze.

tazpkg -gi bash

Hit enter you do not want bash as default link to /bin/sh.

tazpkg -gi wget

wget http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh

chmod +x alsa-info.sh

./alsa-info.sh

Choose upload.

Verify link to info is good.
