Tazpup is an independent project hosted on the Puppy Linux forums. You will most likely need to post questions about Tazpup in the appropriate thread on that forum.

There is another recent thread in this forum which explains why VLC does not run on Slitaz. Quote:

"The menu shortcut doesn't work for Vlc because it has no graphical user interface.

Slitaz-5.0 doesn't support Qt5 which is required to build the graphical user interface plugin of Vlc-3.

Vlc-3 can be used from the command line if you have the desire to learn how."
