Wordpress package woes

Linux distros come in many flavors and i have certainly kicked many tires....

at least on my Desktop PC i have already re-installed 4RC3 at least 4-6 times now   ; )

i really appreciate the ease of installation compared with Mint or Ubuntu and so on ...

quick smooth ... seems effortless and Grub works really well too...  *happy*

when i installed Wordpress package via package manager..

it could be that i am missing something .. i.e.  to follow some post installation instructions

but after installation .. i could no longer view phpinfo .. with unexpected error msg...

sorry for the lack of details since it was really late last night ..

after re-installation .. i succcessfully installed flatpress with no trouble...

i am wondering if the mysql creates conflict with the pre-installed packages...

so for now .. i will try to use Efront e-learning or other blogging tools ..

that only require file flat database or sqlite3 ...

i need to find some tutorial that will work similar to myphpadmin .. or command line steps

Re: Wordpress package woes

Update ..  during this round of re-installation .. i successfully installed Flatpress .. *happy*

i am still not sure about Wordpress ..   but i also have success to install mysql and phpmyadmin

and was able to create database for the e107 CMS e-learning  *happy*

Slitaz is really remarkable as I continue to learn .. tinker and experiment ..

although the keyboard does freeze sometimes..  either at boot .. or when i insert a cd into the DVD drive ...

boot time is really quick and fast ..  really fast compared to other Linux distros ..  ; )

but i am really curious ... Opera browser installed but cannot open .. QQ from Tencent is the same

i have always wondered about this issue ..  with many Linux distros... after using synaptic or another

package manager .. it says it is installed .. but does not show up in the applications panel

Re: Wordpress package woes

It's a new issue with the latest Opera build. As of yet, we don't have a solution for it.
