Hi all
I have tried tazpkg get-install get-palemoon in a live session and in an hdd installed Slitaz and both failed to install Palemoon, the package never downloads Palemoon app, something about "broken magic" ?, maybe Palemoon changed the address where the browser is downloaded so the get-palemoon is looking for it in the wrong one? (I remember they suffered a breach and someone hacked their old versions (not sure if only Windows version or Linux too) and when they discovered it they changed servers or something).
The Prboom game is missing the Freedoom dependency, Freedoom was present a year ago or so, if someone wanted to remove the game, why remove Freedoom and not Prboom too?, ghosts in a machine...
Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas :-)
The magic you mean is and has nothing to do with palemoon:
> tar: invalid magic
that should go away when installing tar:
tazpkg -gi tar
I will have to look later at the get-palemoon package, seems it will also need this dir created:
/opt/palemoon
> du: /opt/palemoon: No such file or directory
Also, will look later at the Prboom game you mention.
See you later,

@cray:
1-
You can fix your get-palemoon file http://hg.slitaz.org/wok/file/c07aaa614a02/get-palemoon/stuff/get-palemoon#l13
2-
freedoom is broken http://cook.slitaz.org/index.cgi?pkg=freedoom
Note that you can install the last successfull build http://mirror1.slitaz.org/packages/cooking/freedoom-0.7.tazpkg

Sorry, I didn't see your replies.
Hi Erkan
All previous times I used the "get-install get-palemoon", it worked without having to type or install anything else (tar), in fact, current Palemoon is 28.8.0 the problem appeared with this one as I used the get-install with the previous 28.7.2 a month ago with no problem so the "get-palemoon" needing that "tar" started between 28.7.2 and 28.8.0 releases. About the opt/palemoon directory, I don't remember having a problem from 28.7.2 backwards but something curious happens to me, I use to keep a package of all the Palemoons and to create it, I use the tazpkg repack command but if I try to repack from any of my hdd installed Slitaz, it fails to create the package with a wrong md5sum, wrong crc, ro wrong checksum (not sure which one) but if I use that command from a live session and freshly installed get-palemoon then it repacks correctly always, at least till 28.7.2 so I suppose there was no problem with the opt/palemoon directory til 28.7.2.
Thanks for replying.
Hi Bellard
When I click your link, I see 48 lines of code, I don't know what to do with that, I'll try the command get-install get-palemoon again, I suppose you or Erkan already repaired it.
Yes, Freedoom 0.7 was the version I remember was there one year ago or so, I use the tazpkg GUI to look for packages and I tried a couple months ago to search for freedoom but the result was an empty camp.
I wish you and your families the best all year long but specially theese days.

Hi again Erkan
I installed tar but the problem persists, the package get-palemoon never downloads 28.8.0 from linux.palemoon.org. The get-palemoon that worked for Palemoon versions 28.7.2 and backwards always downloaded data from Palemoon site and there was no problem with /opt/palemoon directory, this directory was created in the HDD.
I attach a screen capture.

Hi cray,
I just cooked a new package and tried on liveCD and this installs palemoon:
1. download http://cook.slitaz.org/cooker.cgi?download=get-palemoon-lastest.tazpkg
2. in terminal as root type:
tazpkg -i get-palemoon-lastest.tazpkg
Please try this,

Hi Erkan
Tested. It works correctly, now data is downloaded from linux.palemoon.org and then installed.
I hope your package will get soon to the repo where the tazpkg GUI searches for packages and replace the non working get-palemoon.
Thank you very much for finding the time to help me.
Hasta la vista.
