Pixbufs
A GdkPixbuf represents an image, normally in RGB or RGBA format.
Pixbufs are normally used to load files from disk and perform
image scaling.
This demo is not all that educational, but looks cool. It was written
by Extreme Pixbuf Hacker Federico Mena Quintero. It also shows
off how to use GtkDrawingArea to do a simple animation.
Look at the Image demo for additional pixbuf usage examples.

Is it possible to push the xorg version 1.19.3 or version 1.20 on slitaz rolling repo?
I think its time to upgrade the xorg to that version due to glamor acceleration rendering slitaz future proof with the help of modesetting xorg driver with glamor support.

I'd like to understand more about next too, like how often does stuff from there get pushed to rolling repo, cuz it seems like next has a lot of updated stuff... and is it safe to use stuff from there with rolling... if so how do I add it so tazpkg sees it....

I do not know if it is official or not, but it was started to make a SliTaz distribution with a much (I do not know how much exactly) more current toolchain, because SliTaz-Rolling was not able to be upgraded to that when they tried. So Slitaz-Next has a much newer toolchain and a much (I do not know how much) newer kernel, which is required for security and a lot of things. The problem was that they are not compatible with current SliTaz-Rolling.

SliTaz Next Cooker is a place where we moving to the upcoming SliTaz release, based on GCC-6.2.0, Glibc-2.24, Kernel-4.9 et al. All that things are the steps to a modern distro, but are incompatible with the current SliTaz Rolling packages, so they are developed and updated separately.
