Resolution when using Virtualbox

Hello all, it seems no matter how I configure it, I cannot get Slitaz to increase resolution while using it with Virtualbox.  I have the guest additions installed as well.

Specify on the boot commandline vga=XXX where XXX is the mode number representing the resolution you want. e.g. vga=791 boots at 1024x768 and vga=796 is 1920x1200. Here is a link to a useful chart:

Re: Resolution when using Virtualbox

Thanks bb, that is pretty awesome to know, however when Xorg starts the resolution is still bumped from that down to 800x600, despite me having a 1280x1024 in my xorg.conf, any idea why?

Re: Resolution when using Virtualbox

@jehiva

plz check that vboxvideo module is loaded. i am able to view Slitaz full-screen in virtualbox now that i managed to install virtualbox guest additions. it was long (learning) process, but very rewarding! i intend to document it soon.

vboxvideo needs the linux-drm package to be installed. configure vboxguest, vboxsf, and vboxvideo modules to be loaded at startup in the initialization tab of control box.

hope this helps.
