Missing libraries after removing packages.

Hello,

Lately I have bee experiencing something strange on a fresh Slitaz install on a 64 bt laptop.

After installing and removing some packages (games, midori) using the tazpanel, some programs ceased to work due to missing libraries.

For instance, if I launch firefox from the terminal I get:

@slitaz:~$ firefox

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/firefox-17.0.11esr/libxpcom.so:

libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Couldn't load XPCOM.

this happened before too, as if, when removing a package, tazpkg removes also some libraries that are needed by other packages.

I have tried to remove firefox, clean the cache and reinstall it, and got the same error.

How can I fix and avoid this occurrence?

Re: Missing libraries after removing packages.

Remove Firefox-17.0.11esr, it is from 2013 and was compiled from source on slitaz build server and is no longer maintained.

No one is motivated to build firefox from source as it is constantly updated.

It shares code (libfirefox) with an old version of thunderbird which is still on the repo as well.

I use firefox-official tazpkg, it is precompiled by mozilla and has a built-in updater.
