Can't connect to HTTPS addresses

Good day!

Using SliTaz 4, base iso

Trying to clone a repo with git:

[c]error: error:1407742E:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert protocol version while accessing *address*[/c]

Trying to access an HTTPS website with lynx:

[c]Alert!: Unable to make secure connection to remote host[/c]

With HTTP addresses, everything works

This problem happens on other SliTaz versions too

What is happening? Is it possible to fix this?

Re: Can't connect to HTTPS addresses

[c]

Lynx in SliTaz 4.0: lynx-2.8.7.tazpkg     released in 2009

Lynx in SliTaz 5.0: lynx-2.8.9rel1.tazpkg released in 2018

[/c]

I'm sure the Lynx version in SliTaz 4.0 doesn't support TLS 1.2, let alone TLS 1.3. You can try out with a SliTaz 5 Live-CD if Lynx 2.8.9 works there and upgrade your installation if it does.

Re: Can't connect to HTTPS addresses

P.S.: I forgot to mention that the same applies of course to git. Practically all the stuff in the SliTaz 3/4 repos is by now seriously outdated.
