getting slitaz onto unsupported hardware

I have an interest in linux on the mac PPC based computers.

There is a version of Debian Sid for the PPC.

Is it posible to take a base install of debian sid and install slitaz onto that.. or would that require specialist knowledge due to massive tinkering needs.

I expect it does..

I'm not sure, but I think it does. In Slitaz, many programs are replace by busybox, a "swiss army knife" that saves much space.

This should lead to a different architecture of the system. But I'm not sure at all.

It would be nice to port it to ESP32-S2 WROVER as it supports 4.5MB RAM

akm - yes some of the linux distros for the PPC use busybox too.. so part of the way there. But I expect youre right..most likely a lot to it.

nanotaz - hey thanks for these links.  As a raspberry pi user I will have a read of them.  Have thought about slitaz on a rasp pi but have yet to look into that.. it seems to have stopped development...or so I thought.

Did you have a look at buildroot? Depending on what you intend to do it might be a good and fairly easy solution.

I have made very good experiences with buildroot while building tiny Servers (Mail, Web, etc) on x86 as well as on Raspberry Pi...
