Supertux2

hello ,

I tried Slitaz 3.0 and now Slitaz 4.0 , Im impressed how fast this OS is ;-) .. I installed Slitaz4.0 to my little daughters old computer mainly cause it runs that fast and she loves to play supertux. Unfortunately the V2 of Supertux which comes with Slitaz4.0 seems not to run. It aborts when started. Heres the output of the shell when I start it :

Indicating: libsdl is not build with OpenGL (Mesa3D) and several dev-pack need to rendering with OpenGL.

Suggestion: change build depens on receipt with BUILD_DEPENDS="libglu-mesa mesa-dev xorg-libXv-dev xorg-libXrandr-dev" if you can use CookUtils for rebuilding libsdl support.

interesting : I do have 2 Slitaz 4.0 computers. My daughter is running the display with a nvidia riva tnt2 graphics card and the "nv" driver coming with Slitaz4.0 . On this computer supertux doesnt run at all after installing your lib...

but : on the other one , which runs with a nvidia Geforce 5700 VE (not quite so old) and the nvidia non-free driver installed via tazhw , Supertux2 runs after installing your lib .

So I think its the "nv" driver which maybe isnt configured right or something like it. Unfortunately the tnt2 card is to old and is not supported by the "non-free" driver of nvidia.

is there a way to configure the "nv" driver so that it should work ? Or any idea on that ?

And please click tab "SUPPORTED PRODUCTS".

And I thing "nv" driver not yet support for this proses, becouse that you must install non-free driver to, for running this prosses.

I had already tried to install the apropriate 71.86.15 driver from nvidia , but I ended with a messed up Xorg system, and I wasnt able to restore it back to the nv driver , so I reinstalled the whole Slitaz4.0 system and stayed with nv driver. I thought that it is a driver issue before with tnt2 so Im considering exchange to the GF 5700VE card there , cause there the non-free driver works.....

yes... not work... nvidia just fix that driver compatible with kernel 3xx, not fix support with xorg 7.4 or xorg-server 1.9xx and up. And the drive just support with xorg-server 1.4. Sorry about that...
