Booting SliTaz in a folder from rEFInd

I'd like to boot SliTaz from within a folder of a distribution using Syslinux booted through rEFInd; what is the syntax of the boot entry?  I'd also lie to boot SliTaz from within a folder of such a distribution booted through Isolinux.

Re: Booting SliTaz in a folder from rEFInd

Can you give more information concerning your configuration please?

Is rEFInd already installed?

"Booting SliTaz from a folder": how did you install SliTaz, frugal installation? What release, Rolling?

You have to install the syslinux bootloader for efi system so that rEFInd can find it at boot.

Create a folder for the syslinux bootloader in the EFI folder of your ESP partition and copy in it the syslinux.efi file (take care at 32/64bit bootloader) and some other files like menu.c32, ldlinux.e64, libutil.c32 and maybe some modules. Then you have to create your menu.

What release of Syslinux do you use?
