Erreur 1 : mkfs. n'est pas installé

Hi,

When I try to install Slitaz 4, I get this error message :

Erreur 1

: mkfs. n'est pas installé

Partition layout :

       /dev/hda2 (linux swap)

       /dev/hda4 (/ ) ext4

      /dev/hda3  (/home) ext4

      /dev/hda1  (/backup) ext4

partition formating chekcboxes : uncheked....

and I have no idea where to look for ...

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I'm not sure you can install SliTaz on an ext4 partition.

Can you try with ext3

Well, I found something :

For the Dev:

problem seems to be with the 'tests' on checkboxes when formating partitions...

When checkboxes are unchecked, installation will fail... (see error message)

When checkboxes are checked installation is starting (no error message)

I guess it's something like this : if Checkbox is selected then ext="Whatever" "Mkfs." & ext

when Checkbox is NOT selected then ext="" and you get the string "mkfs." & ""

Am i right on this point ?

also next step of installation:

if Cd-rom is not mounted, installation will fail, probably need also a check in the Javascript.

@Ceel : Installation goes fine with Ext4...

Hope that will help.

BTW : for the dev, You guys are rocking. slitaz is My favorite Distro, I discovered it with Release 3, and you did wonderfull work with Release 4.

Small, fast, and working (much easier to set-up than previous one)

Hi,

what language you choose at boot livecd?

try boot and install in english locale and map keyboard en_US.

i had a similar problem with my language (russia) choice at boot

i see

boot in english, install, reboot. after reboot change on fr locale.

I managed to install it with locale set in french,

problem is with install script and formating (/ or not) checkboxes...
