native keboard on laptop not working on boot

I was unable to set the keyboard settings on boot, as the keyboard was completely non-functional. I had to shut down. I tested SliTaz on the virtual box, prior to booting on the USB drive. I am running on Windows 10, ASUS ROG Strix laptop. I ordered a wired, USB keyboard, to see if this will resolve thee issue.
