Transmission is broken.

Require libnettle.so.7 and libhogweed.so.5

It seems that the nettle version generates conflict

I check with cooking iso, just install transmission.

Upgrading nettle-3.5.1 to 3.7.3 does not work transmission and curl is broken.

In the cases libnettle.so.7 is missing

Can I retrieve the nettle-3.5.1 package from some mirror?

transmission still doesn't work but curl which is what I use the most got back to work with nettle-3.5.1. Thanks. Greeting

Can you please list packages libcurl / curl / transmission ? i would like compare packages in mirror with your version.

If transmission complain about libnettle.so.8 it's require nettle-3.7.3, but curl require nettle 3.5.1 (that strange)

In mirror curl is 7.81.0 (and compile with nettle 3.7.3, require nettle.so.8)

Really strange, in live cooking i have this :

curl / libcurl 7.81.0

transmission 2.94

nettle 3.7.3

Can you please confirm md5sum of curl it's same.

It's very strange,

If you use [c]ldd /usr/bin/curl | grep nettle[/c] what version linked ?

In my case, nettle.so.8

ldd doesn't work... it's weird because it's listed among the commands. Don't worry shann, at some point I'm going to reinstall system.

hmm,

Have you glibc-dev installed ? because /usr/bin/ldd (tiny fake), replaced by ldd from glibc-dev and this script need bash

I hope you don't need reinstall system.

I remember once I already had this problem with ldd but I don't remember now the solution XDD

on my system :

nettle (3.7.3) - a5e6707aafdee4a7b07132934957537e

curl work fine with nettle 3.7.3 but didn't work with the previous release (3.5.1 - 285c6a3028d474d3df5730cb5b59b995)[/c]

Here attached my nettle-3.7.3.tazpkg

(my last update : 22/06/2022; I think I'm going to wait a bit before update it again ;-) )

Hi Ceel, it's funny... on my system curl works with nettle 3.5.1 and fails with 3.7.3

Very rare..
