how to use PAM ?

Hi guys,I install slitaz 4.0 in my thinkpad x60s.It works great! thanks

And now I want to use the fingerprint reader.After search the internet,I compile thinkfinger and tf-tool work and can read my fingerprint well.But when I follow the install guide to install,I can't use my fingerprint to login my slitaz through slim.

I had installed the pam package.Does it need some configuration?

Seems there is two ways to do this. First is to enable slim's PAM support (you will need to install the slim-pam package for this), then following link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ThinkFinger#SLiM to setup the permissions file.

thanks for your reply.

after I install slim-pam package, I found that slim still don't suport pam by ldd [c]which slim[/c] | grep pam.so, I compile the slim 1.3.3 from source with pam suport.and then install pam and compile thinkfinger.

I check the fingerprint reader with tf-tool and it work, /etc/pam.d/slim is created and pam_thinkfinger.so is also in /lib/security/ , but no matter how I swipe my finger, I can't login my system.
