Something very strange i can't figure out, Ethernet fowarding??

Ok , this is all going to be very hard to explain i think.

I have slitaz 5 installed on this old computer in hopes of using it for something other than a door stop.  Please try to follow along with me here, i installed three ethernet cards it it and also Filezilla , so i kinda had file transfer stuff working (sort of) , but that's not the point to this thread.

I discovered that for some reason , Slitaz was acting like a router , meaning that i plugged in other machines to the eth ports of slitaz box and had internet on those machines , okay awesome.

but here's the problem , i made the mistake of restarting the slitaz box and when it booted up I couldn't log back in , it wouldn't take my password - not tux - because i created a user account..

i tried everything i could think of to get back in and finally just gave up and re-installed the whole thing , complete reformat and install .

Now for the problem-----   the ethernet stuff isn't working the same , no "port or packet forwarding"   no internet on the other machines !!

so what happened??? how do i get it back????

Very sorry about that. Myself and the team are doing our best to handle the full project.

New forces are coming with spring.

1- check network with 'ifconfig' and 'route -n'

2- cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward  shoud show '1'

3- check with iptables-save you firewall
