Stand-by & suspend timing @ Slitaz6.0 64

Hello forum,

I got 3 pcs (engineering pc Artix XFce, gaming pc MX Linux Fluxbox, music studio pc Slitaz Openbox). They consume 768mb, 390mb, 118mb on idle, respectively) Keeping in mind lightweight nature of Slitaz, I want to try it out on my gaming pc to squeeze some extra FPS'es.

Installed Slitaz to test it out. 3 days testing, Slitaz 5.0 has wine packages since it's a released version. Slitaz 6.0 works smoother, has packages for newer firefox, better&smoother kernel, btrfs built-in support and many things.. The case is, I want to make it first autosuspend so I can merge gaming pc and music pc in future. Any helps with autosuspend is appreciated, folks!

Things that I tried:

1. $ sudo echo mem >/sys/power/state $

# this command goes on into standby and wakes up instantly for some mysterious reason. #

2. $ sudo pm-suspend $

# this command lets computer sleep well in S3 state #

3. $ sudo s2ram $

# this package apparently not existing on SliTaz6.0 list due to it currently being at beta stage #

Power Manager works well in Slitaz6.0-64 so I can work around from that.

Is there any way to make it a autosuspend shell that works in the background?

In websearch terms, is there a power manager setting to set sleep timer? How to set it?

Hi arachnoborg,

You can install pm-utils to have shortcut in menu to launch "hibernate to ram".

Also for s2ram if understand relate to Uswsusp that not maintained since 2011 (debian removed it)

For sleep timer, dont sure pm-suspend have option to set timer.

I found this on old topic, talk about use xautolock to suspend after 30m of inactivity

for xautolock, not provided in version i build, but i can if this usage is that do you want ?
