Wifi Problem

I am using Slitaz 4.0. I am facing problem in using Wifi. I have a Wifi connection with WEP password. Whenever I Double click my connection in Wifi Configuration instead of connecting the window simply closes. I have also tried connecting through Slitaz Panel but I does gain success.

P.S. The Wifi Dialog is showing all the wifi networks but not getting connected to then.

Wifibox crashing may be related to WEP which is what this user has in common.

Open terminal and start wifibox as regular user:

wifibox

Post any error messages when it crashes.

Turn off WEP security on your wireless router. (disconnect router from the cablemodem)

Will wifibox connect you to the router without crashing with WEP off.

Ping the routers gateway ip to verify your connected.

You can connect wifi in terminal without wifibox.
