Has anyone ever been able to get qemu working? No matter what I do, I keep getting segmentation fault. Even running qemu on the command line without any parameters throws a segmentation fault, no other erros, nothing. dmesg throws:
qemu[2043]: segfault at bf8b7b19 ip 08178901 sp bf8b0c60 error 6 in qemu[8048000+26d000]
The values bf8b7b19 and bf8b0c60 keep changing for each segmentation fault error, however the rest of the error message stays the same.
Anyone have any ideas what to do next here? Thanks.

Hm, it worked with the -enable-kvm parameter.

I get a segmentation fault too, doesn't say where though.
Hi,
Yes Qemu is buggy for month on SliTaz. I'm not going to write the full story but it is related to our previews build tools, SDL and i686 binaries. Now we have rebuild the full SliTaz twice with a new build tools aka cookutils, we are back to a sane i486 environment and Qemu works! At least it work for me now and I also got seg fault before.
That said I have commited a qemu-light package wich could feet a Live flavor since the package is at ~500Kb! Current new package are not yet on the main mirror but on Tank with a small connection so I propose to try the qemu-light package (no vde, curl, tls, etc) wich provide a X86 virtualizer that works:
http://cook.slitaz.org/packages/qemu-light-0.12.5.tazpkg
Get it and # tazpkg install qemu-light-0.12.5.tazpkg
