Comparison with TinyCore Linux

Hi

While looking around for minimalistic Linux distros, I came across SliTaz.

I was wondering: how does SliTaz compare to TinyCore Linux?

What are the defining characteristics of SliTaz as opposed to TinyCore and other minimal distros?

I would also like to read a comparative analysis of Slitaz and TinyCoreLinux. For example, why TinyCoreLinux new kernel, and Slitaz - old.

Slitaz has 3.2.14 kernel in it's repos, TinyCore has 3.0.21

by default:

slitaz 4.0 is loaded with the kernel 2.6.37

tinycorelinux 4.5 is loaded with the kernel 3.0.21

Come on, guys. Someone knowledgeable please answer the question. I am sure, there must be more differences than just the kernel version.

It's not that simple. Micro-Linuxes each have to adapt it's own philosophies to fit their sizes. TinyCore focuses on being Minimalisic while running completely in RAM. Puppy tries to be as User Friendly as possible for Windows refugees and to be run (and used) from the LiveCD. SliTaz is somewhere in the middle. It's aim is to be Simple, Modern and Fast. It's down to what you want and need. Comparing them beyond this would be like comparing different modes of transport. They might get you from point A to point B, but that's where the similarity does.
