I've been looking for a light-weight, fast, OS for a couple of older PCs. I tried Slitaz Live on a slug of a PC with a working CD drive and was blown away with how fast it ran. Tri-athlete vs, well, me!
I have a project: old PC, dead proprietary CD drive & cable, no USB boot option. Stupidly I didn't confirm the USB boot option before starting this project; now completed. Any suggestions for how to get Slitaz to run in RAM with a HD only install? The XP (SP#43 I think) OS works, but really cripples this system. I've looked at WUBI, but don't know if you can use another distro. Even Ubuntu seems a bit bloated these days.
Thanks for reading and any thoughts or suggestions.
