Hi, I'm working now on SliTaz 4.0 (stable) and I got an upgrade for tazpanel to version 1.5.4. Since then, I cannot load more than a blank page, immediately after identification.
I tried to load "tazpanel:82" in Firefox to get the error console but no error warning though.
I tried to restart tazpanel daemon, stop and start httpd too, no change at all.
Not sure if this bug is what I'm talking about.

From what I've seen on the mailing list, this was a bug created by the new installer script. It has been discovered and the change has been reverted, so try updating your packages again to see if this fixes the problem.

There is no update available for any package... :-(

Boot slitaz-4.0.iso
[c]tazpkg repack tazpanel[/c]
Copy tazpanel-1.5.3.tazpkg to disk.
Boot into slitaz with broken tazpanel.
[c]tazpkg install tazpanel-1.5.3.tazpkg --forced[/c]
[c]tazpkg block tazpanel[/c]

I have a real solution, but I don't know why upgraded tazpanel won't work.
Today I prepared new TazPanel-1.5.6, download here: http://cook.slitaz.org/cooker.cgi?download=tazpanel-1.5.6.tazpkg
Then install this new package. OK. Run. White unnamed window. Bug...
* Double-click to the downloaded package and 'Extract' it.
* Open current folder as Root. Go to extracted folder tazpanel-1.5.6/fs/etc/slitaz
* Copy 'tazpanel.conf' file
* Go to /etc/slitaz
* Paste, overwrite
* Run TazPanel again. It works well!
BUT, WHY NEW 'tazpanel.conf' DO NOT OVERWRITE OLD FILE??

$ grep CONFIG_FILE wok/tazpanel/receipt
CONFIG_FILES="/etc/slitaz/tazpanel.conf /etc/slitaz/httpd.conf"
Config files are not affected by tazpkg install, see http://doc.slitaz.org/en:cookbook:receipt

... These files are not overwritten when reinstalling the package if they already exist ...
So, what can I do to fix my 'broken' tazpanel package? Revert to the original config file?

Boot slitaz-4.0.iso
tazpkg repack tazpanel
Copy tazpanel-1.5.3.tazpkg to disk.
Boot into slitaz with broken tazpanel.
tazpkg install tazpanel-1.5.3.tazpkg --forced
tazpkg block tazpanel
OK, I will revert TazPanel to previous version while waiting for a fix. Any idea of the bug source ?
Thanks anyway

New tazpanel-1.5.7 fixes the problem.
Download here: http://cook.slitaz.org/cooker.cgi?download=tazpanel-1.5.7.tazpkg
When mirror is syncing, also one can upgrade this package just via tazpkg. But now only download and install manually.
I'm so sorry. It's my commits. It's my bug. I will never change config files...
Now, take a look at the couple of new features in the TazPanel.

@Aleksej
It's nor your fault, I'm the idiot who pushed 1.5.4 in wok-stable, it worked pretty well on my system... until I reboot, but sadly, it was time to go to work. So I tried to fix this bug in a hurry (I also messed up tazpanel repo) and eventually revert tazpanel to 1.5.3 revision.
The problem is that packages built by cooker stable are not pushed to mirror stable since May, 1st.

Is v1.5.7 for stable or cooking ?
Offline
1.5.7 based on stable 1.5.3 and have no additional depends - one can run it on various modern systems, like SliTaz-RazorQT.
So, I cooked TazPanel as stabe, but I fail, and 1.5.7 will never be pushed to stable repo. Maybe, we can see it in cooking repo? I don't know, I don't using cooking.
But, one can manually download 1.5.7 via links above, and manually install it - it not crashes system.

OK, done: working well. Still not on remote repository (it wants to update to 1.5.4), I kept tazpanel blocked. ;-]
