My old laptop is running Slitaz great.
Please tell me how I install Tux Paint on it.
Also, please recommend other kids' games, maybe educational, definitely no First Person Shooters.

Childsplay is cool and you realy should try: GCompris (with the additionnal language pack for sound/voice: tazpkg search gcompris)

I converted over tuxpaint from Debian for you: http://www.trixarian.net/downloads/tuxpaint-0.9.21.tazpkg - You can install it by double clicking on it after you download it. Just make sure you're online so it can grab it's dependencies too.
It includes the standard plugins and files. It doesn't however include tuxpaint-config (I may pack this separately because of an issue with a weird dependencies like mesa (OpenGL)) and I also didn't covert over all the stamps (Full collection is a 45MB package: http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/tuxpaint-stamps-default ). Otherwise it's fully functional and I had some fun playing with it myself. Tuxtype and Tuxmath are both in the repository already and so is GCompris, so I think we cover all the Linux Educational tools

I see lots of fun for my daughter and some quiet for us parents.
I used Tazpanel package manager to install GCompris and that is a GREAT collection too.
Anyone with an old laptop and small children MUST try this out.

@pankso The stamps (with sound effects) - sometimes with animations. Check out the stamps link on tuxpaint's site, that's what's include with that huge package. It's not really needed for tuxpaint to work

I'd like to install the Stamps
I got to

http://packages.debian.org/lenny/tuxpaint-stamps-default
but didn't succeed.
I'm not sure which package I need. I assume I want Debian http://tuxpaint.org/download/linux-debian/. And I'm not sure what to do after I download it. Would I have to convert it?

Yes, you'll have to convert. Put it in your home directory and then open sakura or xterm (you could also open them by right clicking on pcmanfm and selecting open terminal here). Now type tazpkg convert tuxpaint- and press tab and it should fill in the whole name. Press enter and wait a while for it to convert (may take up to 30 minutes for something this big). Once it has generated a tazpkg of it, just double click on it to install.
