Hi, I didn't know if it were possible to message you directly.
So I created a thread.
I remember you suggesting this site for a few emulators I was looking for.
After installing 4.0 I wanted to get them again but it seems the site is down.
Is there anyway you can send me a link to a working Gameboy emulator?
Or tell me how to work visualboyadvance. It would be very much appreciated!
@everyone else
Where can I get a gameboy emulator?

Nevermind.
I just went to the site http://www.trixarian.net/SliTaz and it's working now.
Not sure what was going on, but I'm glad it's up!
The repo's have visualboyadvance 1.7.
Your site has 1.8...anyway this one worked.
Many thanks.

The site should be working again. SliTaz also has visualboyadvance-gtk in the repository.

I installed visualboyadcance-gtk and it gave me an error and wouldn't open.
That's why I went to your site.
Not sure if its because I had both vba & vba-gtk installed.

I recently installed visualboyadvance because I wanted to remember my old times playing Tetris. I downloaded VBA 1.7.2 from tazpanel, visualboyadvance-gtk gave me an error too, but is not necessary. The command to have VBA working is "VisualBoyAdvance yourrom.gb", with capital letters, if you use "visualboyadvance" you will get a "not found" message.
If you want a front end, VBA Express worked for me.
Er, my package works fine. Also VBA Express kind of sucks compared to visualboyadvance-gtk. Visualboyadvance-gtk looks similar to the windows interface and it's key binding isn't broken like in vba express. Also mine uses visualboyadvance-gtk 1.8.0 and comes with visualboyadvance (commandline application) packaged with it.

Yes, I agree VBA Express sucks, I installed and removed it in less than a minute ;-). I just mentioned VBA Express becasue it worked (even if it is terrible), and the visualboyadvance-gtk 1.7.2 from tazpanel throws me a "Failed to load glade file `/usr/games/VisualBoyAdvance/vba.glade'" error. Now I use VisualBoyAdvance without a front end, I have not tried your package, but I will.

Yabause! Cool!
(why I need to accept nvidia licence? my laptop has Intel chipset!)

PS
I have just installed sega dreamcast emulator converted from lxdream_0.9.1_i386.deb.
It seems to work but I don't have any DC games to test at the moment! :-(((

Kega Fusion has become my go-to emulator for all things Sega, but sadly it doesn't feature Dreamcast support. I really should redo those game packages so they're updated for SliTaz 4 support and fix some of the bigger bugs as I go. I did them a long time ago when I started with SliTaz 3 and wanted to play a few games. I still use my visualboy-gtk package because it's just better than the SliTaz one

I'm new to slitaz.
How can I add your packages to distro-packages.list if I decide to make my customised slitaz-iso?

I reinstalled slitaz
tux@slitaz:~$ yabause-gtk
(yabause-gtk:2884): GdkGLExt-WARNING **: Window system doesn't support OpenGL.
tux@slitaz:~$
What the hell??? yabause was working before!
Offline
removed nvidia-173xx, reinstalled mesa, glx working again

OK, tried 3 games ('playable' - according to yabause compatibility list) with matching BIOS and all I get after >RUN is black screen. CPU usage ~50%. Any ideas?
lxdream 'works' - but my 2005 laptop is definitely to slow for the job.
