Re: Japanese locale

Hi, Las@genie

SliTaz not designed to support Japanese locale. Here is solutions. You can install 'glibc-locale' package, they supports many locales (and ja_JP).

You need to install Japanese fonts.

For usual programs You can search message translations from other linux distribs and packages, or translate they.

For SliTaz home-made programs and scripts translations to Japanese is absent 100%, you can translate they.

Re: Japanese locale

Thank you Aleksej for the tip it works perfectly, but first i had to define the locale using "localedef -i ja_JP -f UTF-8 ja_JP.utf8" to actually show up in the output of "locale -a"
