Launch PUTTY application at Startup

I wish to lauch the PUTTY application at startup. Ideally it will lauch PUTTY in a maximised window with a preconfigured connection which would then allow a user to enter the login details.

Has anybody done this already? Is anybody able to provide details of how I go about achieving this?

I am new to Linux, my background is in Windows.

Why not just use Windows with PuTTY on the USB drive then? It'll work with any Windows machine with internet access (like in an internet cafe) and won't require you to boot off anything.

To me it seems you're just looking for a dumb terminal. You can do that with the gtk-only flavour and learning how to use ssh properly. You could probably also replacing sakura at boot with PuTTY instead, but comparably, PuTTY is slower and uglier than using Sakura with ssh.

Thanks for your response. I am trying to use PUTTY on a small linux install (Slitaz) as when I try and Telnet using Sakura Terminal I am able to login to the remote Windows PC and enter one command CD\ to get to the root directory however if I send DIR command I get the response MORE? and then the remote computer kicks me out. So far I haven't had this problem when using PUTTY.

Our requirement is for a small Linux install to run on a 2GB Disk on Module and to run a configured Telnet client at startup. Any recommendations?
