zlib accidentally removed

i have installed slitaz 4.0 core iso and it work fine until i accidentally remove zlib package, and now the GUI disappear. I really new to linux and i want the GUI back. Please help me.

Hi,

Zlib is a base packages so everything is broken, even the installation of packages, so you can't simply reinstall zlib. But you can boot the LiveCD, mount the partition where slitaz is installed and reinstall zlib from the live session. Say you have a internet connection and installed slitaz on /dev/sda2, boot the liveCD/USB then:

# mount /dev/sda2 /mnt

# tazpkg -gi zlib --root=/mnt

Reboot :-)

I can't connect to internet on SliTaz (my modem don't support linux).

How about install it with offline zlib packages?
