Hi
I am an experienced Linux user but a Slitaz newbie. Slitaz seems to use some terminology not used elsewhere such as 'wok' 'flavor' etc, sometimes just dropped into docs without clarification. Is there a terminology list somewhere I am missing, as that would be really helpful.
Thanks

Not really, but most are based on cooking items or related terms and share a similiar meaning to their namesakes.
For example you use a wok or cooker to prepare a meal, so in SliTaz it's what you use to 'cook' (build and package) SliTaz packages and the distro flavor themselves. The best way to describe our use of the word flavor is to use similar terms used in other distros like Ubuntu - they're 'remixes' or 'editions' based off the base distribution.
Does that help?

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. That does help, especially as I hadn't twigged to the consistent cooking metaphor.
I do find with any new subject an understanding of the jargon is a quick way in.
Hope you don't mind me asking if I get stuck.
thanks
