I've used tazlito to create a master image of Slitaz 4 that I would like to deploy to other workstations. I've tested it and it works with one minor issue, that I've noticed. The default network adapters (wlanX and ethX) increment by one and the active network adapters of the workstation used to create the master image get added to /etc/network.conf and /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules. I've cleaned these obsolete entries out, but after reboot I still get (wlan1 and wlan0). Any ideas?
On another note:
Is there something like a how-to for this process? Maybe other configuration changes that need to be made to the master image that I haven't noticed yet? This could be immensely useful to other folks as well. Maybe I missed it?

I guess I have the same problem. I created an ISO which I subsequently installed to USB,
where everything including NETWORK ! seemed to work fine. But on one Computer the boot-menu entries couldn't be selected, since the KEYBOARD hung up, so I could only select default. On other Computers it worked.
Since I figured it must be an error caused by the USB-Controller (or driver),
I finally decided to burn a CD and gave it another try:
I was now able to select the language entry for german and the system booted
according to my expectations, but:
Suddenly, as in your case WIFI didnt work, also settings for my WLAN are still there,
but as you mentioned, the wlan adapter has increased. This is ODD, since I was using the
same ISO to create a Live-USB and network worked fine on several computers in the same
Wlan-Network. I even booted the same menu-entry.
Maybe you can try to deploy your master image by other Media than CD-ROM?
Have you tested TazUSB, or using your image for network boot?
I would really like to read if you or someone can explain or knows a manual page that help.

Here's a tutorial I found very useful:

In it he gives a 'writeiso' script that includes this:
#next remove mac address file which causes networking to fail on livecd
#writeiso should do this but doesnt (a bug IMHO)
mv /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/70-junk

Hier ist also meine Methode:
1) Tazlito > benutzerdefiniertes ISO
2) YUMI (siehe Google) > Multiboot USB mit standard Slitaz 4 ISO
3) Kopiere benutzerdefiniertes ISO auf den USB
4) Lade von dem multiboot USB das standard Slitz 4 ISO
5) Benutze das tazpanel um das benutzerdefiniertes ISO zu installieren
Ich glaube dass die Installationsmethode keine Rolle spielt. Ich glaube eher dass da irgendwie etwas mit den boot scipts oder dem kernel nicht stimmt. Denn ich habe jetzt auch schon festgestellt dass manchmal wlan0 richtig geladen wird und manchmal eben nicht. Alles von dem gleichen ISO. Danke aber fuer deinen post. Ich hoffe dass die Entwickler dies mit der naechsten Version geloest haben werden.

ja das kommt drauf an, ob der Computer, von dem Du bootest die gleiche Netzwerkkarte hat oder nicht.
Ich habe das schon mal eingebracht, werd ich noch einmal machen

(1) Tazlito > user-defined custom ISO
(2) YUMI => multiboot USB with standard Slitaz 4 ISO
(3) Copy custom ISO to USB pendrive
(4) Load standard Slitaz 4 ISO from multiboot USB
(5) Use tazpanel to install custom ISO
Would this work with Rufus [FAT32/NTFS, syslinux]
or (old) MultiBootISOs-2.1.5.2.exe[FAT32, GRUB4dOS]?
