slitaz 4 & HP Compaq d530

sometimes when i boot the slitaz 4 moving folder windows (pcmanfm) its tooo slow. even i tried to applications opening like leafpad. same result.

what i mean i move the window (any) its too slow to response content of window (like 500ms or 1second)

its really annoying. but point is, this one is happening always, lets say 50%-50%.

or even sometimes when i boot it i can see just underscores(_) instead of character. when i highlighted with mouseover (on menu) that time i can see the text.

what is the problem? any idea?

its not happening all computers. just happening around 20computers.

slitaz 4 installed almost 150 computers now.

installation

   frugal installation with grub 4 dos (dos and ext 3 formatted on 2 partition)

autostart.sh

   dbus-launch --exit-with-session &

   pcmanfm &

   rm -rf /home/usr/bin/home.htm

Noted:

   In slitaz 3-vesa there was no problem.

System :

   1GB Memory, 40GB HDD, P4

sorry for broken english.

also now i realized sometimes some characters are missed. d,o,c. in menu or titlebar.

any idea?

i just downloaded and used slitaz-4.0-xorg-light.iso file.

it fixed my all problem about openbox or driver problems.

before i was using slitaz-4.0-core.iso. i guess some files or drivers are missed in core iso

It was probably related to the video driver. This seems to be the common reason for slow downs with most systems (that and using irqpoll). Installing the correct video driver while removing xvesa tends to fix it.
