SliTaz is installed on my multiboot machine alongside Xubuntu 12.04 and W7.
My browsing experience with Midori (and then I tried Firefox but the problem was the same ). Pages take an age to load and then scrolling a page is very slow and jumpy.
I have a fast interweb connection and don't experience these problem with Xubuntu. Any fixes?
(I did try a Midori fix from their FAQ but that didn't make any difference either)

Firefox and Midori work fine for me and I experience no such problem on my reasonably slow 1MBit/s 3G connection. That means it's something to do with your system, meaning that you must provide specifications for the machine and connection, how you installed SliTaz, If you're using some weird boot command voodoo with GRUB and which version of Firefox you're using (and with what plugins).

Its an Asus EB1012 nettop with 2GB ram and nVidia Ion graphics. Straight forward install from SliTaz Live ISO. No voodoo
Firefox straight from tazpkg, no plugins yet. Web Connection is BT Infinity (all wired) @ 30mb down / 8mb up. As I said can probably discount line speed, as works fine under Xubuntu and W7, but maybe about nameservers / dns ?

Done a bit more testing. The problem is worst when the browser window is maximised. If I run a window about 1/3 of the screen size scrolling is almost bearable and very good on "static pages". (Scrolling OK on this forum
) So it seems like a graphics issue. As I have the nVidia Ion graphics card I have installed the non free driver, currently 173 as found on the forum. Would I be better off installing the latest from the NVidia site (295)?

Bit the bullet and installed the 295.59 version of the nVidia driver. Seems to have cleared up the problem.

So it was graphically related? That's just weird, but then again enabling irqpoll makes avi rendering slow, so not really surprising.
