Timezone issue

I go to Applications -> Preferences -> TimeZone Configuration

I select Europe/Bucharest and press OK

The timezone is correctly changed in /etc/TZ, however the clock is set 3h into the future. This shows that Slitaz considers the hardware clock to be always set to UTC, which is not the case.

How does Slitaz manage this? On other Linux systems this information is stored in /etc/sysconfig/clock, but there's no such thing on Slitaz.

I'm actually working on that. Linux by default assumes the system clock is running at UCT. With Debian based distros, you simply have to set UCT="no" in rcS.conf to fix this. With SliTaz we still have to figure out and implement such a feature. The fun part of a Linux from scratch hey wink

Will change timezone to UTC, as this is really not a big deal anyway.
