alsaplayer in slitaz

Hi ,

I have alsaplayer0.99.80

By default mp3 files get played by it

Actually there is no sound emanating also GUI says 'no stream' , the time slider is locked at 0.

See attached screenshot.

Also I am sure , it is not about file path as i have tried to play /home/tux/mkps.mp3

mpg123,mplayer play mp3 files fine.

That means my audio hardware works & is recognised by OS.

First, you can't have more than one open at a time. The second one just won't play audio because the first one is controlling the device.

Second, try opening a file with Alsaplayer. No, don't double click the file, but use an already open alsaplayer, right click near the middle of it and select open, then pick a file to play in that dialog. Does it play now? If it does then the shortcut for opening files with alsaplayer is broken or wrong. Also have you tried pressing play after double clicking a file?
