Web boot

I already have Slitaz installed on my HDD, but I'm also trying to add an entry in grub4dos, which would allow me to boot slitaz from internet, and I did the following:

1. installed the gpxe package

2.  added the following entry to /boot/grub/menu.lst:

[c]title Slitaz web boot
kernel /boot/gpxe ip=192.168.1.101/24 gw=192.168.1.1 dns=193.231.252.221 url=http://mirror.slitaz.org/pxe/pxelinux.0[/c]
Is this something that's not possible or am I missing something ?

I've already tried the 2 Slitaz resources that you mentioned, what is written in the OP is the result of me following the steps there. What I first did was add an entry like this:

[c]label web
kernel /boot/gpxe[/c]
When that didn't work I followed the other Slitaz resource and added in the menu.lst file what is seen in the OP.

I have also tried pressing F12 at boot, this brought up the boot menu device, but this didn't work either.

What I forgot to mention is that when I select the grub entry I added the following error message is displayed: "No more network devices" and then the second entry in the grub menu is booted (I have a multi-boot environment).

I think I'm missing something, will continue searching the internet and see if I find that something.

I was missing something: I didn't enable the NIC boot ROM from BIOS.

Unfortunately, this wasn't enough. There's still something missing, and still after searching the internet, no solution appeared.

At this point it seems that the dhcp client is not getting any info from the dhcp server. I am connected to the internet through a router, which serves all the PCs connected to it allright. However it doesn't serve the NIC. I accessed the gpxe command line by pressing CTRL B and ran the command 'dhcp net0'. The command times out and exits stating that all devices have been tried.

Any ideas on this?
