Re: Help Me please !! Office to SlitaZ

I use it and it's quite ok, however the one from Libre Office has more functions and looks better.

If complete suite is the only alternative to Gnumeric I will certainly stick to it.

18MB vs 180MB - the choice is obvious for me smile

Re: Help Me please !! Office to SlitaZ

there must be something wrong with it, are you using 4.0 or cooking?

it seems to me that the new release of libreoffice has broken the script, at least in cooking, maybe they have changed their site.

does the output of

tazpkg -lf LibreOffice

look ok?

Re: Help Me please !! Office to SlitaZ

i think that they have changed file naming in 4.0, i cannot debug the script now, you could try changing the VERSION= row to VERSION="3.6.5" and deleting the following row, which would be a follow up of VERSION= row.

i'm talking about /usr/bin/get-libreoffice

Re: Help Me please !! Office to SlitaZ

@newtaz

did you ever thought about freeoffice?

http://freeoffice.com/en/download

it includes textwriter (like ms word), planmaker (like ms excel) and presentations (like ms powerpoint). and it's smaller and even faster than openoffice or libreoffice. for me at the moment my absolute favour because it converts the microsoft files in it's best way. better than others do. and the freeoffice version is free. so why not, give it a try ;-)
