I signed up yesterday be cause I thought this was a great little distro to keep on me at all times. Still trying to figure it out so I posted. Here's what I had in my inbox this morning.

It Happens, but generally we delete the spam as soon as we see them (normally up to a hour max after they posted).
We've had numerous discussions about how to deal with the problem effectively, but none of our ideas have been implemented yet.
Generally creating a post or following reply posts means you may get a copy of the delete spam, so it's wise to unsubscribe.

@Trixar_za: All correct, but we have checkbox "Notify me of follow-up posts via email" unchecked by default.
@Travalon: You can understand that if you check this checkbox then you can get any posts from this topic to your mailbox, not only good news 
Anyway, we work to get our forum better. Personally me "Spam fighter"

Got it thanks still learning. Just switched to mint but really want to make this distro work for me. I love the options that come with the core iso. I always wanted a bare OS to build up to my needs.

@travalon - if you want a barebones distro to build from ground up, Arch Linux might be a better choice depending on what you want to achieve. Have a look at archlinux.org.
