Each time I log in I get the upgrade/update notifier in my systray but when I do a recharge and check upgrades I get all up to date message. In Tazpanel, however, I get the following
Last recharge: 2012-06-22 (Not older than 10 days)
Installed packages: 512
Mirrored packages: 3359
Upgradeable packages: 1
Installed files: 35967
Blocked packages: 4
Not that it matters too much but it would be nice to resolve this discrepancy. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks.

Hi gdesilva,
Upgradeable packages: 1
You have some news!
What is the way your SliTaz installed?
- full HD install with full persistence;
- liveUSB with persistent /home and 'tazusb writefs';
- liveCD with no persistence.
I have second way. List of installed packages is saved on /var/... And I return to old list at every boot, because I not save my system (tazusb writefs) at every exit.

@Aleksej, I have a full HD installation - not sure what you mean by 'with full persistence'...

gdesilva, I mean that you work with real files that keep its content between reboots (in other hand, I have real files only in /home, and other filesystem recreates in RAM at every boot from rootfs.gz).
Ok. You recharge list. Then you reboot. And you see tazpkg notification. Point your mouse over notification icon. There can be different messages. Please, share your notification message here.

@Aleksej, recharged the list (main up to date), checked for upgrade (no upgrades). Rebooted and I get the notification that there is one upgradeable package.
I also have blocked upgrades to 4 packages since I have enabled extra options in them and just wondering whether this is causing any issue or not?

Oh, sorry me for my silly questions. I was waiting that you say: "I have 1 upgradeable package, and this package is ..."
I think, this is bug. Please, give me your list of blocked packages:
[c]tazpkg list blocked[/c]
And I'll try to re-create your situation, and possible try to fix tazpkg-notify.
PS: In your first post I've read that: notify says that you have 1 upgradeable package, and tazpanel says the same, but after that tazpanel says that you have no upgradeable packages (oh, my head!..) Maybe, we want to read this as "SliTaz maintaners prepare a new package for you, and you can upgrade it, but in your situation you can't, because you blocked it from upgrades"?
PPS: after 'recharge' I have 17 new pkgs on mirror

after 'up' I have 9 new upgradeable pkgs

@Aleksej, here is the list of blocked packages

Let's clarify our situation.
I upgrade packages list, log out and log in, and I see:

I have not any blocked packages before. And I see that 'mc' package is upgradeable now. I blocked 'mc', log out and log in. And I see:

Again 9! I click on notification icon and see:

Only 8.
So, if you see notify about any number of upradeable packages, you want to know that number include any blocked or unblocked (on your own taste), but with ability of upgrade.
I think this is correct and not a bug and we can close this thread.

@Aleksej, if this is how it is meant to work that's OK.
However, there is a minor problem with this logic... I have 4 blocked packages and and Notify tells me that there is 1 upgradeable package and the upgrade list does not show any. Now, how am I supposed to work out which one of the four blocked packages are upgradeable?
I am happy to close this case but I think this issue needs to be taken into consideration in future developments of Tazpanel...
Thanks for your responses.
