Hi there,
after upgrading from 3.0/cooking to SLiTaz 4.0 XSane - or more precisely SANE didn't find my Canon CanoScan LiDE 20 USB Scanner anymore.
Searching the web brought the result that several other distributions had the same topic after an upgrade to SANE-backends 1.0.22 and that downgrading would help.
Downgrading to the tazpkg sane-backends-1.0.20.tazpkg from 3.0 repository brought the solution but needed jpeg-6b.tazpkg additionally. Another (better) solution was recompilation of the latest 1.0.22.tar.gz from SANE-homepage with installed libusb-dev.
@ Pankso: since you are mentioned as maintainer of the package, might it be possible to update the repository package, please? Or did I simply overlook some simple configuration aspect?

Hi Filou,
Sane-backends-1.0.22 tazpkg on the 4.0 repo was broken.
Scanning works with the new package on a hp scanjet 5300c
One bug is the scan progress bar doesn't appear.

Thankx, mojo !
You were right, after installing with --forced option and updating my package cache XSane works again. With my CanoScan LiDE 20 I don't have the missing progress bar bug. Everything runs smoothly.
Thank you, again !
